Infusing Local Identity into Design: Hawaii Convention Center
Location: Honolulu, US
Installation Time: 2025.06
Texture: Custom Koa Wood
Product Quantity: 35 ArtMorph Grande Panels
This project was initiated in collaboration with CECOCECO’s AV partner, Pacific Digital Signs, who engaged directly with the Hawaii Convention Center (HCC) to determine the installation wall’s size and location. Based on the site conditions and display requirements, CECOCECO designed a surface that reflected the local cultural aesthetic while supporting clear and vibrant digital content.

Design Concept and Texture Selection
The surface design features a custom Koa wood texture, chosen for its strong cultural connection to Hawaii. As a native hardwood, Koa is widely displayed throughout the Convention Center in various forms, ranging from furniture to decorative objects.
CECOCECO’s design preserves the distinctive visual richness and tactile feel of Koa wood. By integrating its natural texture with dynamic digital content, ArtMorph reflects the local character while meeting the Hawaii Convention Center’s requirements for public display functionality.
The ArtMorph installation consists of 35 active panels with no extension panels, covering a total area of 3.5 meters wide by 2.5 meters high (8.75 m²), creating a visually continuous and cohesive appearance.
